14 DAY TRIAL // Alcatel has just announced a new smartphone in its Pixi series of devices, called Pixi 4 Plus Power. As the name suggests, this model stands out due to its highly capable battery of 5,000mAh capacity, which would be enough for keeping the phone's lights on for a considerable amount of time, depending on use.
Alcatel unveiled the new Pixi series of smartphones at the start of this year, and now it has provided a new model in the line. As mentioned above, Alcatel Pixi 4 Plus Power features an impressive 5,000mAh battery, but that's the sole highlight of this new device.
The phone maker mentioned that the battery can power the smartphone for about 2.7 days on a single charge, possibly under normal usage conditions. This should be good news for Alcatel fans who are looking for a device that can go a long time between charges.
Alcatel Pixi 4 Plus Power has a 13MP rear camera with LED flash
The battery on the Pixi 4 Plus Power should last for about 14 hours of video streaming. The smartphone also comes with quick charging technology and can act as a power bank for charging other devices using the microUSB port.
Aside from this, the Alcatel Pixi 4 Plus Power comes with a 5.5-inch display with 720 x 1280 pixel resolution and 1GB of RAM. Internal storage offered on the device is just 8GB, with the option to expand it to 32GB using a microSD card.
The smartphone doesn't come with LTE connectivity options, but it does have 3G connectivity options and dual SIM support. The Pixi 4 Plus Power runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow and comes with a MediaTek processor which hasn't been disclosed yet.
The device will also be equipped with a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera for snapping pictures and conducting video calls. Both cameras on the smartphone come with LED flash. Alcatel has yet to disclose pricing and availability details for the new smartphone.
