No information regarding the release date, though

T-Mobile has recently leaked the new Alcatel IDOL 4S running Windows 10 Mobile, suggesting that the release is very near - albeit no information was included in the leak, except for the typical “coming soon” message.

Although the IDOL 4S Windows phone listing has already been removed, Dave Gershgorn managed to take some screenshots, which you can also find in the gallery attached to the article.

We’ve seen the Alcatel IDOL 4S before, so in terms of visuals, there’s nothing too surprising, as the company previously launched an Android version in the summer.

And as it turns out, Microsoft is working with them on creating a Windows 10 Mobile version that would debut with a VR headset - the Android version also included a VR headset, but it’s believed that Microsoft’s version would feature all the capabilities that the company announced at its October 26 event.

Special launch bundle

During this press conference, Microsoft introduced a new concept of VR headsets that would be available for just $299, but there’s a chance that Alcatel might offer its own as part of a bundle with the IDOL 4S.

“The next great frontier of entertainment and information is here, and the Idol 4S is the world’s first Windows-powered smartphone plus VR goggle package. Pre-loaded games and videos expand your reach beyond the screen,” the original leak read before it got pulled by T-Mobile.

There will also be some other goodies coming with the Alcatel IDOL 4S, including trial subscriptions and games, but quantities will be limited and will only be available at launch.

“As a special limited time offer (while supplies last), receive a 45-day trial subscription of Hulu, a 60-day trial subscription to Groove Music, and a free copy of the Halo Spartan game,” the leak reveals.

Alcatel IDOL 4S with Windows 10 Mobile specifications already got leaked before, so once again, there’s nothing too surprising, but on the other hand, it’s good to see another model powered by Microsoft’s mobile operating system launching and supporting the VR push.
