Adobe has recently released a new version of Flash Player, this time coming with fixes and improvements specifically aimed at users of Microsoft’s new Windows 10 operating system.

Version 20.0.0.195 Beta is the very first release of Adobe Flash Player 20, so keep in mind that this is still a beta and bugs continue to exist. But for those who want to see what’s new and for developers who need to optimize their apps for the new Flash Player version, trying out the new release is a must.

Improvements aimed at Windows 10

Specifically, Adobe Flash Player 20.0.0.195 Beta includes fixes for those who have already updated to Windows 10 and who are using Edge browser instead of Firefox, Chrome, or Internet Explorer. According to the official changelog, this version fixes a problem causing “Flash content to freeze when user inputs multitouch on a 4K multitouch screen on Windows 10 Edge browser.”

In other words, if you’re using Flash with Windows 10 on a 4K screen and you rely on touch input, this version should make everything smoother and fix any bugs causing the process to freeze.

At the same time, the new version also integrates patches aimed to repair a bug where “the candidate window was displayed at the wrong position when inputting some CCJK characters in the Windows 10 Edge browser.”

And last but not least, the embedded Flash objects that previously stopped working on SMART notebooks should now work flawlessly after updating to the new Flash Player version.

Obviously, this new version is not in any way aimed at standard users who don’t have the time or knowledge to diagnose bugs and issues, but only for developers and advanced users who absolutely need the beta. If you’re part of the latter category, you can go ahead and download Adobe Flash Player 20 right away to try all of the above on your computer.
