Adobe has just released the first stable version of Flash Player 19, which is supposed to bring significant performance improvements and new features on supported devices.

Version 19.0.0.185 is the very first version of Flash Player 19 and comes with all the changes that were initially introduced in the beta build, first rolled out on July 24. But at the same time, it also brings more bug fixes and optimizations that should make Flash Player run smoother on your PC, while also patching the security bugs that made this piece of software one of the most vulnerable out there.

Adobe hasn’t yet updated its website to point users to Flash Player 19, but the FTP services have already received the new version, so you can download it using the link at the end of the article.

What’s new in Flash Player 19

Since there’s no change log for this stable release, we’ll have a look at the one provided with the first beta 19 version rolled out in July.

According to that change log, Flash Player 19 comes with new insertAt() and removeAt() Vector and Array APIs.

“With Flash Player and AIR 19, we have introduced two new APIs for element insertion or removal in Vector and Arrays. They are implemented to perform better than existing splice method when used for single element,” Adobe explained, while also pointing that it added “new Stage3D error codes to provide developers with additional debugging and error information,” too.

Needless to say, Adobe Flash Player 19 should be faster, more reliable, and more secure than the previous versions, but we all know that’s really difficult.

Many have already predicted the death of this runtime environment, but Adobe doesn’t seem to be willing to give up, so just download Flash Player 19 to see what it brings new and how it works on your PC.
