aLinux, a distribution based on GNU/Linux that aims to replace Microsoft Windows 8 XP/Vista and Apple Mac OS X, is now at version 15.0.
aLinux 15.0 is based on KDE and features a lot of preinstalled packages, such as GCC, Pidgin, Kwrite, GLIBC, 11 games, GIMP, KView Image Browser, Clam-AV AntiVirus, and more.
Highlights of aLinux 15.0:
• KDE desktop environment has been updated to version 3.5.10; • Xorg was updated to version 7.7; • Linux kernel was updated to version 2.6.34.14; • Skype 4.1.0.20 has been added, which means that MSN/Windows Live! Support is now available; • Mozilla Firefox was updated to version 17.01; • New WiFi and Wired Internet connection utility Wicd has replaced RutilT.
