It is tough to get proper computer protection at reasonable prices these days. Most security applications have prices well over the decent $25 limit a home user is inclined to pay in order to get a professional piece of software to protect the system. However, every now and then, promotion campaigns occur, and that's the time to get your hands on full security suites at lower prices.

Emsi Software has recently launched such a campaign, promoting its flagship product, a-squared Anti-Malware. For a short period of time, a one-year license of the application will be available to purchase for as low as $10, through Softpedia (that's a 75% discount for our users).
You'll benefit from the discount as long as, upon making a purchase, you type in “Softpedia” as your discount code.

The same code will function for all offers on the purchase page, save the three-month subscription, bringing different discounts. Thus, to a two-year license, which normally goes for $70, it will apply a 43% reduction, bringing it to $40. A three-year license is regularly priced at $96, but, with the 31% cutSoftpedia” applies, it will shrink to $66. The three-pack (three licenses for one year) is slashed from $73 to $43, giving you 41% off. The five-pack is the most expensive, but the “Softpedia” code affects it too, lowering it from the regular $120 to $90, saving you 25% of the money. The promotion expires on Sunday, September 6th.

a-squared is more than an antivirus, as it is able to keep you safe from online threats during web browsing, alerting whenever tracking cookies try to find a way on your computer, spying on your online activity or when malicious web hosts are accessed. This means that even advertising on web pages can be blocked, leaving you with a clean view of what you're interested in.

Alerts are easy to manage and the community input can drastically diminish the amount of warnings displayed on your screen, as well as the rule creation. For those wanting to take notice of every activity that seems suspicious, even if not malicious, the paranoid alert mode is perfect to launch the notification assault.

If you are not decided on the purchase, you can also try the application for a period of 30 days with absolutely no restriction, or read our fresh review for the latest version of the product.

UPDATE: The offer has expired.

I noticed on the Perfect Optimizer website softpedia is listed as showing that the Perfect Optimizer program is a good, safe program. Yet, after having purchased 3 of the PO programs I now get a warning from Microsoft that the website contains malicious software and that I shouldn't continue to the site. What is the situation with Perfect Optimizer and it's creator company Miracle Technologies? Have the owners gone off the deep end or has a malicious company bought it out?

Perfect Optimizer has been blacklisted on Softpedia due to the risk the application poses to the users. The award on Perfect Optimizer's website is illegally displayed.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Why depend on such an offer when AVAST offers a home edition software free of cost. For the last 3 years, I can bet, not even a single virus has affected my PC or Laptop.
