Indian company Zync has just revealed that it will launch no less than five Android tablets in India in the next few weeks.

According to AndroidOS, the upcoming slates will be priced under Rs 15,000 ($280/ €210), which was to be expected for an Indian company.

Apparently, the main selling point of some of these tablets will be the Retina-like display, though we’re not sure how many of the upcoming slates will be packed with this kind of screen.

All in all, Zync has confirmed that among these five tablets there will be 7-inch, 8-inch, 9.7-inch and 10.1-inch models, which will cover all the price range.

Even though the company has not offered too many details on the specs sheet of these tablets, at least they have stated that some will be equipped with dual-core processors, while the most powerful will feature quad-core CPU’s probably manufactured by MediaTek.

In addition, some of these tablets (if not all) will be packed with 32GB of internal memory and dual camera (rear + front).

We’re still waiting for more details on the newest series of Zync tablets, all the more so because the company has let it slip that they will be launched in India during this month.

It will be interesting to see whether Zync will be able to set its tablets apart from other Indian products in the same range.

Given the fact that these tablets are likely to be manufactured in China, we highly doubt it. Stay tuned for more updates on the matter.

“All these five tablets which will be launched towards the end of this month will have a unique USP which no other player has in the market in terms of features and price. Zync is bullish on the tablet market and the price range of these tablets with the latest features is going to sweep people off their feet,” said Ashish Garg, Zync Global director.
