14 DAY TRIAL // Android enthusiasts in India continue to be flooded with some of the most affordable devices. Since Google launched the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, native handset makers launched a gazillion of tablets and smartphones priced under $100 USD (75 EUR).
Indian company Zync has just announced the upcoming availability of a new Gingerbread-powered tablet in the country. The Z-909 plus is aimed at low-cost tablet market and will be available for only Rs 3699 (65 USD or 55 EUR).
According to Zync, customers will be able to purchase the Z-909 plus at major online e-commerce portals across the country, such as Snapdeal, HomeShop18, Futurebazaar, Naaptol.
Moreover, the new budget-friendly slate will be made available across 22 states through its distributor network Balaji Solutions.
It is also worth mentioning that the tablet comes with several accessories included in the sales package, such as screen guard and a lycra pouch.
“Owing to the fierce competition in the tablet market with many players entering this category, we felt the need to introduce a product which does not burn a hole in the consumers pocket, yet possesses the latest technologies at an affordable cost,” said Ashish Garg, director, Zync Global Private Limited.
Hardware-wise, the tablet is equipped with a 1 GHz single-core processor, 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory, which can be expanded up to 16GB via microSD memory card.
Zync Z-909 plus also sports a 7-inch resistive touchscreen display, a VGA front-facing camera, and Wi-Fi connectivity. It runs on the Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS and has a powerful 3000mAH battery, which makes it an ideal device for long hours of usage.
Unfortunately, the tablet is powered by Android 2.3 Gingerbread, but at least it comes pre-loaded with popular apps such as Angry Birds, BigFlix and Ibibo.
“After having launched our earlier products in the range of 8000-1200K, we felt the sub 4K segment was fairly untouched and hence we saw the opportunity to introduce a product in the price bracket of 4K. We believe in excellent customer service and for the same we have a one year warranty along with a pick up and drop facility for all our products,” concluded Garg.
