Forbes has published its yearly richest people in the world list. There haven't been that many changes up top, but there have been some shake ups among tech billionaires.
The richest tech billionaire is still Bill Gates, even after all his donations, with an estimated net worth of $67 billion.
Fellow software tycoon Larry Ellison isn't far behind with $43 billion, €33. The fact that Oracle stock performed great in the last year certainly helped.
Somewhat surprisingly perhaps, Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos is the third on the list, with a $25 billion, €19.2 billion fortune. Again, Amazon's great performance pushed him much further up the list.
Google cofounders Larry Page and Sergey Brin aren't far behind with $23 billion, €17.65 billion and $22.8 billion, €17.5 billion respectively. Google is trading at record prices these days, contributing to a big bump in both of their fortunes.
Even poor old Mark Zuckerberg
, who saw his virtual fortune plummet after the Facebook IPO, is doing better these days
with a $13.3 billion, €10.2 billion fortune, helped by the positive financial results of his companies. Facebook is trading at prices not seen for half a year.
