Zu Online, the Chinese Kung-fu Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game will open its doors for beta testing (open beta, that is!), IGG has announced. This stage will start at at 8:00 PM on the 14th of December. The Open Beta Test client and Register System will also be released soon, so keep an eye on Zu Online's website.

The Alpha tests of the game ended more than one month ago and many changes have been made to the game according to the selected testers suggestions. The Open Beta stage has the purpose of doing the same, but now Zu Online is available for everybody.

Although many things about the game are yet to be found out, we have quite some details about this title. For example, in Zu you will enjoy a trip in the sky by riding a sword, moonblade or other weapons. If that doesn't suit you, nor your human shape, there will be no problem - shapeshifting is available, too and you can turn into a ghost (or jinn) and scare enemies away.

Also, the game doesn't use the classic HP, SP, intelligence or agility characteristics, but replaces them with four kinds of talents: Trinket (determines how many items you can wear), Tradeskill (refining weapons, armors, potions etc.), Ability (or competence, it sums up strength and agility) and Summon (determines the ability of shapeshifting).

MMO games already offer lonely players the possibility to have a cute little monster as a pet who follows them all over the place, and so does Zu. Still, the pet system page on the official site is empty. Probably they were too busy playing and developing the game instead. But it doesn't really matter now since the open beta doors are about to be opened - you will learn everything you want to know about the game by playing it - who could want a different way of learning, anyway?

So, have this in mind: the 14th of December, 8 PM, Zu Online.
