Morocco police arrested Farid Essebar, a Moroccan national born in Russia, aged 18, who used the online nickname "Diab10", while authorities in Turkey got their hands on 21-year-old Atilla Ekici, alias "Coder".

They are both suspected
of releasing the Zotob and Mytob computer worms, that were designed to attack computers running Windows operating system.

According to FBI statements, Essebar was the one to write the code for the worm, but paid Ekici to distribute it.

"There was a financial relationship between the two individuals though we don't know if they were working for a larger organization", said Louis M. Reigel III, Assistant Director for FBI's cyber division.

The two of them will be subject to local prosecution, FBI added.

The arrests come less then two weeks after Zotob's August 14 first attacks that infected thousands of computers worldwide in a four-day run.

Essebar and Ekici are also suspected of writing and distributing Mytob and Rbot worms.
