While some might expect any and all video card news to be about one or more of the new GTX 570 from NVIDIA and its partners, Zotac thought it would go a bit off-script by meddling with another card.

For those that do not yet know for one reason or another, NVIDIA unleashed the GeForce GTX 570 just a day ago or so.

Of course, this prompted its various partners to also bring out their one or multiple GTX 570, factory overclocked or not.

This announcement also means that almost all news related to video cards since then has been at least remotely related to it.

While this stays more or less true for Zotac's latest device, the fact remains that the company still left the norm.

Granted, it did not exactly go into different territories, unlike Gigabyte whose new GT 430 was revealed just hours ago.

In addition to the GeForce GTX 570, Zotac also created a new GeForce GT 580, bearing the AMP! Edition name.

As one would expect after seeing the name, it is a factory overclocked version of the currently most powerful single-GPU graphics adapter on the market.

The GF110 graphics processing unit (GPU) operates at a clock speed of 815 MHz, a fair jump from the stock model's 772 MHz.

Additionally, the 512 CUDA cores work at 1,630 MHz, while the 1,536 MB of GDDR5 VRAM boast a clock of 4,100 MHz.

In that order, the shaders and memory of the original function at 1,544 MHz and 4,008 MHz, respectively.

Other specifications include dual-DVI and mini HDMI outputs, plus support for DirectX 11, PhysX, CUDA, 3D Vision Surround and SLI.

It should be found available for pre-order at a price of 545 Euro, bundled with the game Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands, by Ubisoft.
