3D printers have been cropping up in the news pretty often, but besides MakerBot's series and Stratasys' products, most aren't exactly popular or spread across the world. Zortrax M200 might become a household name too though.

Zortrax M200, a 3D printer invented by Gadgets3D, is one of those products that got launched by the Kickstarter crowd-funding website.

Kickstarter hosts plenty of new projects every week, but many of them fail to gather the intended funds before the time is up.

Of the, admittedly, considerable number of projects whose campaigns do succeed, many still don't actually rise to greatness.

The Zortrax M200 3D printer hasn't risen to greatness yet, but everyone who pledged $1,899 / €1,899 did receive the plastic 3D printer as promised.

Now, Gadgets3D only needs to kick an actual business off and they should be able to reel in customers.

The Zortrax M200 3D printer has received positive feedback thanks to the extruder with 3 heating points and auto-calibration of the build platform.

Layer precision is quite high, and the support structure is printed from the same extruding unit as the rest of the objects being created.

It's all thanks to the Z-Suite Software, which generates an optimized structure support material. In fact, according to gadgets3D, the layer precision is so good that you can be fooled into thinking the resolution is better than it really is.

"A model printed with 200 microns resolution can look like one printed with 50 microns on other 3D printers. The result is the same, but the model is printed twice as fast," says Zortrax CEO Rafał Tomasiak.

The Zortrax M200 3D printer ships with 1-year warranty and will soon gain support for more printing materials (Z-PLA and Z-PC-ABS).

"Zortrax M200 3D Printer is like an engine which we fuel up for printing, but the rest is up to the users. Their feedback is important for us," Tomasiak added.
