An Ubuntu-based operating system aimed at Windows users that are switching over to Linux, Zorin OS Educational, has now reached version 5.2.

This is the second update in the Zorin OS 5 Educational series. Therefore, the Zorin developers have chosen to go back to the GNOME 2.x desktop environment and drop the Ubuntu’s Unity shell because apparently it's not mature enough.

Zorin OS 5.2 Educational includes a lot of security updates, upgraded applications, a new window border theme, an updated icon theme, a new start-up sound, and even a zRam patch which improves the performance of the system.

Zorin OS 5.2 Educational includes dozens of educational programs for primary, secondary and tertiary students to provide for an ideal digital learning experience.
