As usual, Rovio makes the introduction – “It's a snowy winter night, the northern lights are ablaze, and it seems like peace on earth… until the bad piggies show up! The Angry Birds didn't realize that they're walking in a winter wonderham!”
Players get the chance to explore a snowy winter landscape under the aurora borealis in 25 new “wintry levels.”
Since it’s a seasonal update, gamers get to enjoy one level per day. Experts should be able to get three stars on all levels just as Santa drops down the chimney.
The birds can now slip and slide on a new “ice element,” and there are some new secret levels with a bunch of “special wintry treats.”
Rovio also says to watch out for a special Harbin level. Players are told to note that activating each daily level requires an Internet connection.
Those who haven’t yet played Angry Birds Seasons are in for a real treat. Over 300 new levels await.
“Angry Birds Seasons takes the captivating gameplay of the original to a whole new level! From Halloween to Chinese New Year, the birds are celebrating different festive seasons around the world,” says Rovio Entertainment.
“With more than 300 levels and regular free updates, these special episodes offer more challenging levels of pig-popping action and golden eggs to discover,” says the developer.
The Angry Birds franchise has more than 1 billion downloads, making it the most popular mobile game of all time.
iOS customers can play it on iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation), iPod touch (5th generation) and iPad. The game requires iOS 4.3 or later.
