Zoo Tycoon Unlockables and Hints (DS)

Zoo Tycoon is a business simulator video game developed by Blue Fang Games and published by Microsoft Games Studios for the Windows PC, Macintosh and the Nintendo DS platforms.

It is another title part of the popular Tycoon franchise, which spanned areas from railroad building to roller coasters and anything in between.

In Zoo Tycoon, as its name clearly suggests, you are tasked with running a zoo and developing it in order to turn the biggest profit possible.

The video game was first released for Windows and Macintosh in 2001, and was ported in 2005 to the Nintendo DS.

Zoo Tycoon starts off with an empty land and players need to build the base of the zoo, and then create exhibits for the animals they intend to purchase in order to attract visitors.

Players will be able to choose things like the overall environment present in the exhibit, as well as what types of terrain, foliage, rocks, shelters, toys and even fences, all in order to accommodate the wild animals and keep them happy.

While animals play a big role in the zoo the tycoon needs to manage, facilities are need to be built, including bathrooms, restaurants, food stands, gift shops and other establishment that are needed to keep visitors happy.

Last but not least, players need to hire people as janitors, zookeepers and tour guides.

Three modes are available in Zoo Tycoon, starting with the Tutorial, which teaches players how to create and take care of their new zoo.

Then we have the Scenario mode, which tasks players with completing certain objectives in specific time frames.

The last mode is Freeform, where players can choose their starting money and map, and then proceed to creating their own private zoo.

Control credits screen

At the credits screen, tap the lion at the bottom of the screen. It will put a piece of trash in the trash can. If you tap it again, it will take it out again.
