Z World Detroit could breathe new life into deserted areas of Detroit

Zombies are undead creatures, monsters raised from the dead to feed on human flesh and thus spread the “disease.” As dead as they might be, they could still breathe new life into the deserted areas of Detroit.

We're sorry, this was a joke begging to be made.

Marc Siwak's proposal is to turn deserted neighborhoods of Detroit, left empty in the aftermath of the collapse of the American automotive industry, into a giant theme park. Zombies!

The video above explains his idea, as well as how the park would operate. As we see it, it would be like a game, only better because you'd actually get to be there and run from the zombies or, worst case scenario, become one yourself.

“Imagine that you're living through the zombie apocalypse. You and your group are looking for sanctuary in an abandoned urban landscape. You are out of ammo so you are relying on your smarts to survive. As you start to adjust to your new surroundings, your relative calm is broken by a pack of zombies,” reads the description of the project on indiegogo.
