Ubisoft has confirmed that ZombiU, one of its all-new Wii U-exclusive games, wasn't profitable, meaning it won't get a sequel on the console.

This even forced the company to take another Wii U exclusive – Rayman Legends – to other platforms.

Ubisoft was one of Nintendo Wii U's biggest third-party supporters, bringing not just big games to it, like Assassin's Creed 3, but also all-new properties, like ZombiU, which was the subject of quite a few console bundles.

Unfortunately, according to Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot, who talked with GI, ZombiU wasn't profitable for the company.

The game wasn't even close to breaking even and, as such, any sequel plans were scrapped.

What's more, Guillemot confirmed that ZombiU's failure prompted Ubisoft to turn another Wii U exclusive, Rayman Legends, into a multi-platform release.
