Zinio is one of the apps that are supposed to make it easier for users to read magazines in the Modern UI of their Windows 8.1 devices and an update released this morning brings even more exciting features.

The new build comprises support for Windows 8.1’s new snapping mode, which means that multitasking has been greatly enhanced in Zinio.

At the same time, it also comes with a special limited time for subscribers, offering 6 free digital magazines for 3 months. All you need to do is to download the app and go over to the official campaign page to pick the titles that you want to download.

“Zinio is for people who love magazines. It's the app with the largest selection of magazines in news, science, technology, entertainment, fashion and more, including The Economist, New Scientist, Esquire, Rolling Stone, Maxim, Juxtapoz, ESPN the Magazine, GQ, Vogue, Elle and countless others,” the app description reads.

Of course, support for both desktops and tablets is being offered, so you can download Zinio for Windows 8.1 and use it on your Surface RT too.
