The trial of Florida neighborhood watch captain George Zimmerman in the death of Trayvon Martin continues, as the jury is presented with video and audio recordings of the defendant.

A reenactment done for police officers the day after the February 26, 2012 fatal shooting shows Zimmerman demonstrating why he had to defend himself.

He described being attacked by the victim who attempted to hit his head on the pavement. He might not have succeeded to do so, however.

“Then's when he grabbed me, oh I tried to sit up and that's when he grabbed me by the head and tried to slam my head down,” Zimmerman explained.

He had previously called 911 to report the teen acting in a suspicious manner. Said 911 tape was also played in court. He was advised to stay in his car and not confront Martin.

“This guy looks like he's up to no good or he's on drugs or something,” Zimmerman said.
