The prosecution in the George Zimmerman trial has rested on day nine of court proceedings, reports say.

According to ABC NEWS, the defense attorney is targeting an acquittal, once more stressing that the killing was in self-defense.

As I mentioned, the jury has to think about the testimony of Sybrina Fulton, the victim's mother. She was played the 911 tape containing screams from the night of the murder.

"Who do you recognize that to be?" she was asked.

"Trayvon Benjamin Martin," she answered.

Fox News wrote that Zimmerman's mother was also put on the stand and claimed that her son was the one screaming on the tape.

Zimmerman's uncle, Jorge Meza, was also brought in to support the claim. Court has been adjourned until Monday, July 8.
