A knock-knock joke made by the defense attorney during the Zimmerman trial opening statements has caused outrage by the prosecution.

According to Fox News, Alan Dershowitz has stated that the defendant could ask for a mistrial based on his attorney's legal strategy.

Dershowitz dubs it disrespectful to the victim's family, who have sat in the courtroom for the statements.

The joke is featured in the courtroom clip above. It hints to the fact that it was hard to find an unbiased jury for the Trayvon Martin murder trial.

“Knock knock. Who’s there? George Zimmerman. George Zimmerman who? All right. Good. You’re on the Jury,” lawyer Don West says, while admitting that his approach is inappropriate and could appear “weird.”
