ZiiLABS doesn't so much intend to sell the JAGUAR tablet as it means to have OEMs take it as a reference.

With screen sizes of 7 or 10 inches, there are more than two JAGUARS, based on either the ZMS-20 Dual-Core or the ZMS-40 Quad-Core Cortex-A9.

Regardless of the platform, the tablet has WebM support, video conferencing (via two cameras) and the ability to play 1080p High-Profile H.264 video (Blu-ray quality).

Furthermore, ZiiLABS implemented OpenCL and Renderscript (real-time image processing) as well as other standard APIs.

As for the software, Android 4.0, also known as Ice Cream Sandwich, governs the JAGUAR.

ZiiLABS will bring the reference tablet to CES 2012 (Consumer Electronics Show), between January 10 and January 13.

Check out the video above for an actual glimpse at its capabilities (the 7-incher stars in this one).

Creative needs to sell the tablet themselves to reestablish itself as an innovative gadget company that can compete with the best at a much more affordable price point

They did sell one, the Ziio tablet, but it was such a failure they do not dare to sell any new tablet based on their new chip as Ziio II. They instead are hoping the China bootleg manufacturers would adopt their reference design and produce zillons of cheap tablets. They have been pushing for this since their ziio time but no OEM has taken up their offer.
