Even though it won't be “ultimate” for long, it is quite powerful

Since Intel has some powerful new CPUs out, CyberPower has decided to do the predictable thing and launch a computer that relies on them: ZeusBook.

The name is a bit grand, but that could be said for most branded gaming systems really. And CyberPower definitely didn't spare any effort when making the new ZeusBook Ultimate gaming notebook.

First off, the ZeusBook Ultimate is a very thin and light notebook, as far as gaming notebooks can be thin and light anyway.

The weight of the whole thing is 5.73 pounds, or 2.58 kilograms, while the thickness is of 0.85 inches / 22 mm. CyberPower may have actually thought of Zeus' status as lord of the heavens, and the implied ability to fly and glide. The laptop should definitely least feel reasonably weightless after a while of carrying it in a bag.

There will be two versions of the ZeusBook Ultimate, called Ultimate 100 and Ultimate 200.

Both of them measure 17 inches in diagonal and rely on Intel's latest Core series mobile central processing units.

Specifically, the Intel Core i7-4700HQ "Haswell" processor, with 2.4 GHz core clock frequency (3.4 GHz Turbo Boost) is employed, supported by the HM87 chipset.

8 GB of DDR3-1600 memory back the chip up, while graphics prowess is added through a 2 GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 765M video adapter.

Moving on, the Ultimate also boasts Dual Killer Technology (E2200 NIC and Wireless-N 1202) and high-quality audio through Sound Blaster Cinema and dual speaker with subwoofer.

Needless to say, the 17.3-inch LCD display (anti-reflective with LED backlighting) has a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.

CyberPower offers something besides dry specs though, namely the ability of this Matrix Multi display to connect up to three external monitors, for a combined field of view in Super HD 3840 x 2160 resolution.

Finally, the keyboard has a customizable LED backlight with five preset configurations and thousands of color combinations and, of course, anti-ghosting (multiple simultaneous key strokes won't give your system an aneurysm).

The starting price of the CyberPower ZeusBook Ultimate gaming notebook is $1,426 / €1,074.
