The rack holds 12 spice canisters in a space-saving design

Well, well. Since everybody started talking about the iRack rack and the iRan shoes, it's no surprise someone had dreamed about this: a magnetic spice rack. So, if you have too many cans full of oriental spices hanging around on your kitchen walls, this is probably not going to be a waste on you.

The Zero Gravity Magnetic spice rack holds 12 spice canisters displayed both above and below (1.5 oz), so you'll probably get twice the storage space. It comes with the compulsory mounting tools and supplies (the zero gravity stuff sounds great). The makers said it's easy to install (hopefully). Anyway, I can't see too many enthusiasts drilling into their neat granite walls in order to save "some space".

Here's how it works. A locking mechanism prevents anything from spilling over the counter and there's also a pour control system that has close/locked, sprinkle, and all-out pour settings. All the canisters are "air-proof" for preserving herb freshness and have little windows so you can make sure you never run out of Indonesian fish curry powder or oriental sesame (that would be tragic indeed). You can also use stickers to identify each "zero gravity" container. And if you don't have any spices at home (or no spice history), you can buy them along with the rack.

The 6 can Zero Gravity Magnetic Spice Rack retails for $24 while the 12 canister model is priced at $36. Now, if someone made bigger "zero gravity" caontainers in which we could fit, I bet everybody would buy one in order to experience the weightless sensation. What? Spices aren't floating in these cans like Russian astronauts in the MIR? Liars!
