Zenwalk's Live Edition, a complete GNU/Linux operating system that provides users with the ability to browse, mail, chat, listen to music, program in C, Perl, Python, Ruby, watch videos and other important activities, is now at version 7.2 Beta.

According to the developers, this is the first time ZenLive or Zenwalk Live Edition 7.2 Beta will not fit on a single CD, even without the extra content.

Highlights of Zenwalk Live Edition 7.2 Beta:

· xz compression squashfs 4.0 (now in vanilla kernel) has been introduced; · new simple Installer and Live-scripts are available; · On-the-fly live module activation during the running live session, thanks to aufs3 and a loader script, has been provided; · Persistant changes feature is now available; · Zenwalk Live Edition features some additional packages for enhanced functionality; · Additional language packs & full Japanese language input are now supported; · Fluxbox window manager and related apps are now packaged toghether; · The nouveau driver included in Linux kernel 3.2.5 is enabled by default, providing good 3D acceleration for Nvidia cards; · Broadcom wifi "WL" proprietary driver is provided as optional; · New bootsplash theme is available.
