The company is also working to eliminate desynchronizations

Matt Firor, the leading developer working on The Elder Scrolls Online at ZeniMax Online, says that his team is currently working in order to eliminate the bots that have been swarming some of the dungeon bosses included in the MMO, even as it is making progress on delivering more updates for the title.

On the official forums, the team leader states that 85 percent of all the service tickets that the company is dealing with are linked to bots and to spammers, which means that the studio has trouble getting to legitimate concerns coming from the player base.

Firor explains that, "We regularly ban accounts involved in spam and bot activity. The scope of the black market activity accounts for up to 85% of Customer Service emails/calls. Because of this huge influx of contact relating to this one issue, our CS team has been slower to react to other problems than planned – our sincere apologies if you have been held up for a long period of time waiting for CS to respond to you."

It's unclear when ZeniMax Online will eliminate bots in order to improve the overall player experience.

At the same time, the studio is working hard to eliminate desynched quests and to make sure that gamers are always able to progress and upgrade their character.

The community will have the opportunity to test all the main changes made to the MMO before they are introduced.

Firor adds, "We are in process of putting up our first major update to the game on our Play Test Server (PTS), which includes many updates to the game, including class and weapon ability tweaks, content fixes, and updates to almost all game systems. It also contains our new end-game Adventure Zone, Craglorn, with Veteran content aimed at 4 and 12-man groups."

Testing is expected to take at least 10 days because ZeniMax Online wants to make sure that all the modifications it makes are appropriate and that no bugs manage to sneak through.

The Elder Scrolls Online was offered on the PC at the start of this month and versions for the Xbox One from Microsoft and the PlayStation 4 from Sony will be offered in early summer.

The game is subscription based and prior to launch, the development team has said that this guarantees solid support for gamers and the fact that all future content will deliver a quality experience.
