In a world where most consumer 3D printers priced under $1000 / €740 - €1,000 have a build volume of 200 x 200 x 200 mm / 7.87 x 7.87 x 7.87 inches or smaller, the new ones from Zeni Kintectic are bound to gather some followers.

There are three Zeni Kinectic Origin 3D printers, all with a build volume of 300 x 300 x 150 mm / 12 x 12 x 10 inches, a total printer weight of 25 kg / 55 pounds, and an extruder of .25mm, .35mm or .5mm nozzle (you get to choose which, no matter the printer model).

1.75 mm filament is supported (PLA plastic mostly, though any filament of up to 230C that doesn't need a heated bed works), with the layer height being of 75 microns. On that note, the print speed is of 150 mm/s.

The “normal” printer is called Zeni Kinetic Origin Prime. A second printer, called Origin Plus, has a broader material support (PLA, ABS, HIPS, PVA and most others up to 250C), a heated bed (up to 120C) and a removable build plate made of tempered glass. Moreover, it has two spool bays.

That leaves the third printer, Origin Ultimate, which is largely similar to the Plus but has a better controller (NXP LPC 1768/9 32-bit Cortex-M3 MCU) and a 200 mm/s print speed, plus an LCD controller for standalone operation (you don't need a PC to click “Print”). Also, an SD card slot is included, along with easy bed leveling (auto software calibration sensor) and a network port.

In that order, the prices are of $699 / €699, $899 / €899 and $1,150 / €1,150. Pre-orders will ship in 3-5 weeks with 4 filament spools in any available diameters, material and color.
