ZenZui is the latest Web browser from Microsoft. The Redmond Company has announced yesterday the launch of ZenZui as an independent company focused on innovating Web content consumption and interaction via mobile devices.

ZenZui's Zooming User Interface is a technology that was cooked in the Redmond Research laboratories and that is patented by Microsoft. ZenZui is a startup that resulted from the collaboration with Microsoft's IP Ventures and through the access to the ZenZui's Zooming User Interface technology.

"ZenZui is a perfect example of how entrepreneurs are capturing the value of licensed Microsoft intellectual property and generating valuable business opportunities," said Dan'l Lewin, corporate vice president of Strategic and Emerging Business Development at Microsoft. "Our IP Ventures program opens the door for businesses of all sizes to access the work of world-class research teams, then use that access and innovation to rapidly bring new products to market."

In essence, the ZenZui's core technology is designed to deliver advanced information visualization techniques onto mobile phones. Via the modular tile interface of ZenZui, mobile device users will be able to synchronize, surf, and share digital content. There are no less than 36 individual tiles that enable a great deal of user customization. Just take a look at the video embedded at the bottom in order to get an idea on the functionality of ZenZui.

"This innovative technology developed with the help of Microsoft Research has provided a strong foundation from which ZenZui has developed a unique user experience," said Eric Hertz, chief executive officer of ZenZui. "ZenZui's compelling platform is already creating excitement among carriers, content providers, interactive agencies and major marketers."
