UltraTab A100 is another cheap ICS-based tablet that makes its way on the Indian market. Built by Zen Mobile, the slate is now available for purchase for only Rs 6,199 (110 USD or 90 EUR) outright.

Keep in mind that as a part of the initial phase, major retailer Homeshop18 will introduce the product on the market at a special price, which means that the tablet’s price will go up after the promotional offers end.

Affordability aside, the UltraTab A100 by Zen Mobile is powered by Google’s Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system.

With Ice Cream Sandwich, users will be able to take advantage of multitasking, rich notifications, personalized home screens and resizable widgets.

Those unfamiliar with the Zen Mobile brand should know that this is one of the top five mobile manufacturers in India.

Powered with the latest Android 4.0.3 operating system, it is built to appeal to a cross section of users which varies from avid gamers, busy professionals, thrill-seeking youngsters or even the multi-tasking homemakers; it’s an ultimate on-the-go- entertainment hub to bring welcome change to their busy life,” said Mr. Deepesh Gupta, managing director of Zen Mobile.

The UltraTab A100 is one of the thinnest tablets available in the market at only 10.5mm, Zen Mobile claims. Furthermore, the UltraTab A100 weighs 295g and measures 181.5 x 121mm.

The slate has a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 800 x 480 pixels. It also packs a 1.2 GHz single-core processor, which is complemented by a MALI400 GPU.

By managing our expertise in selling and distributing the reasonably priced and best mobile phones in the Indian market, we feel that the technology should be available at every corner in India. We have collaborated with HomeShop18.com – India’s leading virtual shopping destination with the most robust logistics footprint so that customers in smaller cities can also purchase this powerful tab from the convenience of their homes,” Mr. Gupta concluded.
