The cross-platform application that allows users to turn their smartphones and tablets into walkie talkie devices, Zello has just received major update that brings some important visual changes, as well as bug fixes and tweaks.

The most obvious change is the refreshed and simplified user interface. In addition, developers added the option to disable auto-busy when ringer is set to vibrate or silent.

Channel and user profiles are now available with pictures and voice, and History messages now play sequentially. There’s also a new shortcut to open history from Recents screen.

The latest update also includes some bug fixes, which are detailed below:

- Fixed a bug in contact authorization, which caused auth reset; - Fixed interference between hard and soft PTT mode settings; - Fixed start of the app when phone boots; - Fixed several crashes.

Zello Walkie Talkie 2.00 is now available as a free download via Google Play store and it should be fully compatible with all devices via Android 1.5 and up. Check it out here.
