CES 2014 has seen a few interesting announcements from the most important camera and lens manufacturers on the market, but a few products have been overlooked with all the attention especially focused on major brands.

One such product is the upcoming Zeiss Touit 50mm f/2.8 Macro lens, which was spotted by DCWatch at this year's Consumer Electronics Show mounted on both the Sony A7R and Fujifilm X-Pro1 cameras.

As you probably already know, the new Zeiss lens is designed for APS-C cameras and has a 35mm equivalent focal length of 75mm. Featuring a “floating element” design for improved sharpness at close range and Carl Zeiss T* Anti-Reflective coating, the optic will surely pack an outstanding performance, just like its older siblings.

The new Zeiss Touit 50mm f/2.8 Macro lens will be available starting February 27 but, for the moment, there's no information regarding its price. Zeiss will be releasing more full-frame lenses later this year and will present 5 manual FE lenses in September at Photokina.
