Snappy and simple launcher

Developed by XDA member cloakt, Zeam Launcher for Android has been updated to a version 1.5.1. The launcher is the perfect alternative to those looking to replace the slow HTC's Sense interface. The idea behind the project is to design a speedy and minimalistic launcher, a lighter application for Android devices.

The main highlights of Zeam Launcher includes: backward compatible from cupcake; 3 to 9 screens with screen previews; scrollable applications dock bar; configurable actions for double tapping and menu button; custom applications drawer animations; quick uninstall from delete-zone; hide home screen icon labels; capture Zeam screenshot ability; auto rotate orientation; fullscreen mode.

The new 1.5.1 version brings some fixes and improvements to the application: prevents restart when changing ‘hide icon labels’ setting; optimizations and refactoring; upgraded folder icons. If you already have version 1.2.5 or an older one, you will have to do a clean install (uninstall then install) to fix a certain Android issue called F/C loop.   Market copy protection totally breaks file access after updating. As older versions of Zeam had copy-protect on in the Android Market and newer versions don’t, it will cause the issue described above.

The launcher application already has Nexus, Desire and Droid resolution support, and runs smoothly on all Android OS versions. Even though this is not an HTC Sense clone, users that are coming from Sense will probably find some similar functions. Anyway, Zeam Launcher is one of the fastest and definitely much lighter on the memory footprint then most of the launcher applications on the market.

Zeam Launcher is a free application and can be downloaded directly on device from Android Market.
