Now that the GTX 470 and GTX 480 have reached EOL status, Zalman has decided to update its popular VF3000F graphics card cooler to make it compatible with Nvidia's fastest single-GPU solutions to date, the GTX 570 and GTX 580.

The new version of the VF3000F bears an eerie resemblance with its predecessor, as it uses the same design which takes up no less than three PCI slots inside the system's case.

This makes it incompatible with most SLI-enabled motherboards that are out now, so pay close attention to the space available between the two PCI Express x16 slots before purchasing the VF3000F.

As stated earlier, the modifications brought to the VF3000F were kept to a minimum so the cooler still uses the same copper base that features five 6mm copper heatpipes, which draw the heat away from the GF110 GPU and into an aluminum heatsink.

This spans the whole PCB of the graphics card and it houses two 92mm fans. The speed of the fans can be adjusted with the help of the included Fan Mate2 controller.

According to the company, the dual 92mm fans cool not only the heatsink and VGA RAM, but all other peripheral components surrounding the GPU.

Just as the first revision of the VF3000F, the new version also features a dedicated RAM/FET aluminum heatsink, which had to be redesigned to fit the GTX 570 and GTX 580.

Outside of the cooling assembly and Fan Mate2 fan controller, Zalman is bundling the VF3000F with all the accessories required during the installation as well as with a tube of high-performance ZM-STG2 thermal grease.

No details regarding pricing and availability were disclosed at this time, but the previous version of the VF3000F retailed for $79.99, so this new revision is expected to come at about the same price point.
