Cooler specialist Zalman, has just expanded its product lineup with a series of new power supply units from the ZM-Series, which are targeting gamers who require a no-frills mid-range PSU built using quality components.

The three power supply units announced today are the ZM500-GT, ZM600-GT and ZM700-GT, all three of these featuring a non-modular design and, at a minimum, 80PLUS certification.

The simplest of the three units, the ZM500-GT, is capable of delivering 500 Watts of power to the system, most of this being made available via the two 12V rails.

According to the ZM-Series specs list, which was published by Overclockers.ua, each one of these rails is rated at 18A and together they can deliver 432W of power.

The ZM500-GT comes with 80PLUS certification, while the two other 600W and 700W Zalman PSUs in this series feature improved energy efficiency, which enables them to reach the requirements set for receiving 80PLUS Bronze certification.

In addition, the ZM600-GT and ZM700-GT come sporting quad 12V rails, which are rated at the same 18A as in the case of the 500 Watt model.

Despite the similar specs, the ZM600-GT can deliver a total of 552W (46A) on the 12V rails, while its older brother is rated at 660W (55A).

No matter the wattage of the PSU, all three models are cooled by a 12cm temperature-controlled fan. They also comply with the ErP (Energy Related product) directive, to ensure that less than 1W of power is used in passive standby and off modes.

According to the Overclockers.ua, the 500 Watt Zalman ZM500-GT will be priced around $80 (61 EUR), the ZM600-GT around $100 (76 EUR), while the high-end ZM700-GT will retail for somewhere in the vicinity of $125 (roughly 95 EUR).
