In addition to solid state drives, Zalman has created a new mouse pad, one that should work for all sorts of mice.

That includes even high-end peripherals with laser/optical sensors of beyond 1,000 dpi.

Zalman was careful not to use any fabrics when designing the mouse pad.

Instead, it used anodized aluminum and rubber as primary materials.

This makes the item spill-resistant and smooth as well, with matte-black finish.

The Zalman AMP1000, as it is called, measures 210 x 297 x 2 mm (8.26 x 11.69 x 0.11 inches) has a weight of 668 grams (1.47 pounds) and, even though its base is made of the same material, it comes with rubber feet too.

The price is of 3,800 JPY, which translates into $49 or 37.5 Euro, based on exchange rates.

No clue when, if ever, other countries will get it.
