He said he wouldn’t do it but he’s doing it either way. Well, in fact, Zack Snyder said that he would if he could but he couldn’t, but it seems that the ban has been temporarily lifted. The director of the “Man of Steel” sequel “Batman vs. Superman” has just offered fans the first glimpse at Batman’s new ride.

In his most recent interview on the topic, Snyder said that he was itching to post photos of the costumes and all the other awesome things he was seeing in the pre-production stage of the movie. He promised the Batsuit was epic and, at the same time, said that the story would be just as awesome.

With regret, he informed fans that Warner Bros. had barred him from posting anything online that might be deemed a spoiler, so, considering he’s doing that now, we might as well assume he’s been granted permission to show off the Batmobile.

“Show off” is a term used loosely here, because you can’t really see it. The photo, which you can also see in full above (click for the larger version), best qualifies as a teaser, since Batman’s famous ride is covered up.

“Could be time to pull the tarp... Tomorrow?” Snyder writes in the caption. That’s a teaser if we ever saw one, with Snyder basically saying that he’ll be revealing an actual photo of the Batmobile within hours.

Considering this is the first real thing fans get from the much talked about sequel, it’d better be something truly amazing. Snyder and Warners still need to make up for casting Ben Affleck as Batman, in the eyes of many fans, and the only way they can do that is by showing them they were wrong in hating their choice in the first place.
