To all those foolish enough to underestimate Zac Efron's everlasting appeal, here comes a little proof of the fact that the "High School Musical" alumn and "Hairspray" sensation still has an unrelenting grasp over the hearts of young girls everywhere. Efron is set to star in a new movie called "Seventeen Again", which is listed for release on August 15th. His movie co-star, producer/director Judd Apatow's wife Leslie Mann, put in an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Friday, where she confessed that when she came home once having just shot a kissing scene with Zac, she was literally ambushed by her 10 year-old daughter, who started licking her face in order to taste Efron's spit.
To those of you who think a ten year-old being obsessed with the taste of a teenage idol's spit is slightly worrying, I would say that we're just looking at the tip of the iceberg here. Zac, his perfectly made-up face and his seemingly perfect life have been a huge hit with young people everywhere, so much so in fact that a taste of Efron's saliva may be seen as a huge achievement. "My daughter, Maude, who's 10, is in love with Zac Efron. And I just did a movie with him called 17 Again, where he plays a grown man in a 17-year-old's body. He plays my husband. So, we got to kiss, which was very exciting for Maude. When I got home from work after doing the kissing scene, she ran up to me and licked my face because she wanted to taste Zac Efron's spit", Mann confessed.
Given that Efron and his on again / off again girlfriend Vanessa "I Look Good Naked" Hudgens haven't been seen together in public for quite a while, it looks like Zac may actually be single - which means that young boys and girls everywhere can now go to sleep dreaming happily of one day sharing a tongue kiss with their idol. Jessica Alba's comments come to mind right now, especially the part about Efron wearing too much make-up and being in fact nothing more than an ordinary-looking teen rubbing make-up onto his pimples. Somehow, I have a feeling Leslie Mann's daughter would disagree.
