The smartphone can be purchased for only $50 (€36) outright

Aussie Android fans will be pleased to know Chinese handset maker ZTE has just introduced the affordable T790 smartphone in Australia.

AusDroid reports the smartphone is now available at Boost Mobile for only $50 (€36) outright. Known as ZTE T790 “Tango,” the smartphone was initially launched at Telstra as ZTE Pulse.

The smartphone ships with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system out of the box and packs a 2-megapixel rear-facing camera with digital zoom.

ZTE Tango also sports a 3.5-inch HVGA capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 320 pixels resolution. The phone’s battery has been confirmed to provide up to 200 hours of standby time or up to 200 minutes of talk time.

No other details on the phone’s specs sheet have been unveiled, but don’t expect anything impressive inside.
