Chinese mobile phone maker ZTE is reportedly working on the launch of a new handset running under Google’s Android operating system, one that would sport an incredibly thin body at only 6.2mm.

Nothing is actually known of this smartphone, except for the fact that it will be ultra-thin, yet it seems that ZTE has already confirmed plans to bring the device to the market in the not too distant future.

What remains to be seen is how well the smartphone will fare in real-world usage and which design ZTE will have in store for it.

Some of the latest thin handsets actually featured a thicker part, so as to make room for the battery. After all, no one wants a smartphone that cannot go at least for one day without a charge.

Hopefully, it won’t be too long before ZTE started sharing more details on this handset, so keep an eye on this space for additional news.
