After announcing quite a range of smartphones named after well-known European cities, the Chinese handset maker plans to add one more handset to its lineup of Android phones.

The folks over at UnwiredView have just spotted the so-called ZTE Optimus Barcelona at Bluetooth SIG. The name of the smartphone is a bit confusing.

It appears that ZTE is taking advantage of LG’s Optimus branding, which might get the company into a lawsuit.

Although the Chinese company announced no less than 8 smartphones and several tablets at the Mobile World Congress 2012 in Barcelona, the Optimus Barcelona was not among these.

According to Bluetooth SIG documents, ZTE Optimus Barcelona will only be available in Europe and features both 2G and 3G technologies. For the time being, no other details have been disclosed.
