Quietly launched in Asia last month, ZTE Libra Android-based smartphone is about to make its debut in Europe, along with the entry-level ZTE Tureis.

It appears that both smartphones have been showcased at a ZTE event held in London, along with the ZTE Skate.

According to Tracy and Matt blog, Libra and Tureis are expected to be launched in the UK SIM-free some time next month.

In addition, the ZTE Skate will receive an upgrade and will be delivered in the UK with a single core processor clocked at 1GHz, instead of the standard 800 MHz CPU.

ZTE Libra is an entry-level smartphone that comes with a 3.5-inches WVGA capacitive touchscreen with 16 million colors support and 800 x 480 pixels resolution.

Even though the phone is equipped with a low-performance Qualcomm MSM7227 processor clocked at 600 MHz speed, the ZTE Libra runs Google's latest Android 2.3 Gingerbread platform.

Furthermore, the Libra is bundled with Google's Suite package, including Goggles, Maps, Translate, Earth, YouTube and more.

The phone is fully compatible with GSM 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz and UMTS 900 / 2100 MHz networks, but also provides users with other connectivity options such as: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 and assisted GPS.

ZTE Tureis is another low-budget Android smartphone that comes with a touchscreen, but of a smaller 2.6-inch size.

However, unlike the ZTE Libra, Tureis features a full portrait QWERTY keyboard, which makes it the perfect messaging tool.

The phone is equipped with an 800 Mhz processor and features multiple connectivity options, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP support, GPS with A-GPS and HSDPA support.

A 3.2-megapixel camera with autofocus and a 3.5mm audio jack are included with the phone, as well.

While the ZTE Skate is already available via Orange as Orange Monte Carlo, ZTE Libra and Tureis will probably be launched initially in the UK at various online retailers, such as Clove and Carphone Warehouse.
