14 DAY TRIAL // Chinese handset maker has just announced its entrance in Thailand with two budget-friendly Android smartphones and a tablet. All three Android devices will be available via Telewiz and WDS retail stores.
It is also worth mentioning that that the after-sale service of all three ZTE devices will be provided by WDS.
Both phones are powered by Android 2.2 Froyo with no chance to be further upgraded to a newer version of Google’s operating system due to their low hardware configuration.
In fact, the ZTE Blade was previously delivered with Android 2.1 Éclair at launch but received the Froyo update soon afterwards.
Furthermore, the ZTE Blade packs 150 MB of internal memory, 512 MB of RAM, 512 MB of ROM and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB, 2GB memory card included).
In addition, the Blade is equipped with a 600 MHz Qualcomm MSM7227 CPU and an Adreno 200 graphics processing unit.
ZTE Racer II has even lower specs, as the smartphone is powered by a 500 MHz single core processor and packs 256 MB of ROM, 512 MB of RAM and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).
Each low-end Android-based smartphone sports a mediocre 3-megapixel camera with autofocus and video recording.
However, the ZTE Blade comes with a more than decent 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen with 480 x 800 pixels resolution, whereas the Racer II features a much smaller 2.8-inch capacitive touchscreen with 240 x 320 pixels resolution.
Other highlights of the phones include: HSDPA and Wi-Fi support, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP and EDR, GPS with A-GPS support and microUSB.
The ZTE 9+ is a Gingerbread tablet released in Q3 2011. The slate features a 7-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen with 600 x 1024 pixels resolution and 262k colors support.
On the inside, the tablet is equipped with a 1GHz single core processor, 4GB of internal memory, 512 MB of RAM and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).
