One of the smartphones that was on display at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas last week but went widely unnoticed was the ZTE Grand Memo II LTE, which is different from the version that was launched in China.

Unlike that model, which is powered by an octa-core processor, the ZTE Grand Memo II LTE comes to the market with a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 CPU inside, GSMInsider notes.

Chinese mobile phone maker ZTE launched the Grand Memo II LTE with a 6-inch TFT touchscreen display, which can deliver a 720p resolution.

The smartphone also comes to the market with 1GB of RAM, as well as with 8GB of internal memory. Moreover, it features a microSD memory card slot, so that users could add some more storage to the mix.

On the back, the new handset sports an 8-megapixel camera, supposedly capable of recording videos in full HD resolution. A 5MP camera with auto-focus is present on the front of the device, providing users with the possibility to make video calls while on the go.

The new mobile phone is powered by a 3200mAh Li-ion battery, which should provide it with long usage times.

ZTE also announced the handset with support for TDD-LTE, FDD-LTE, TD-SCDMA, WCDMA, and GSM networks, as well as with the usual Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS capabilities. Moreover, the smartphone packs the entire set of sensors found on most devices out here.

ZTE Grand Memo II LTE runs under Google’s Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system and is set to arrive on shelves in China first. However, the company also plans on releasing it in other Asian markets soon, as well as in European countries.

No info on the price tag of this device has been provided as of now, but we should expect it to prove quite affordable, despite its large size.
