The first smartphone in the world to arrive on shelves with Nvidia’s Tegra 4 processor packed inside appears to have already been confirmed as a ZTE device, the U988S.

The handset has been spotted online before, as it has already received the necessary approvals from TENAA not long ago, and it seems that ZTE has decided to share some more info on it, via Sina Weibo.

The device is expected to land on shelves at China Mobile in the not too distant future as the ZTE Geek U988S, and should feature the aforementioned Tegra 4 CPU inside, instead of an Intel processor.

The chip is said to run at 1.8GHz and to be paired by 2GB of RAM. Furthermore, the smartphone will pack a 5-inch LCD touchscreen capable of delivering a 1,920 x 1,080 pixel resolution, a 2MP front camera, and an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, Engadget reports.
