It appears that US-based carrier T-Mobile plans to launch a cheap feature phone within the next few weeks, the ZTE F555.

Dubbed “Wombat,” the handset comes with a full QWERTY keyboard and a sub-par 2-megapixel rear photo snapper with video recording.

The phone has just been spotted at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) by the folks over at Phone Scoop.

No word on the feature phone’s availability and pricing options, but we expect that the ZTE F555 Wombat will hot shelves in the next few weeks for under $100/€75 outright.

The F555 Wombat supports GSM and EDGE 850/1900 MHz bands, WCDMA 1700MHz band, as well as Bluetooth connectivity.

There are no other details on the phone’s specs, but an official announcement should make headlines pretty soon. Stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
