Although we have already had confirmations that Chinese handset manufacturer ZTE plans to continue launching Windows Phone devices, we now have more details on the company’s roadmap for 2013.

According to 3G.co.uk, ZTE is expected to launch a “premium” smartphone powered by Microsoft’s upcoming Windows Phone 8 operating system in the first quarter of 2013.

Unfortunately, we don’t have any details on the phone’s hardware configuration, but we suspect the device will be equipped with at least a dual-core processor and LTE support.

The main reason behind ZTE’s decision to enter the high-end smartphone market is to change the brand’s perception as a low-end handset maker.

Hopefully, we will have more details on ZTE’s Windows Phone roadmap for 2013 in the following months, so stay tuned for more info on the subject.
