Starting today, mobile phone users in the United States can purchase a new Android-based smartphone on the network of wireless carrier T-Mobile, in the form of ZTE Concord II.

This is an affordable device but still capable of providing appealing capabilities to users on a budget, especially courtesy of a solid build quality.

ZTE Concord II arrives on the market with an aluminum stripe around its edges and is capable of offering a nearly stock Android experience, the Chinese mobile phone maker has announced.

Those of you who would like to grab the handset today will find it listed on T-Mobile’s website at for $0 down and 24 monthly payments, or at $150 outright on pre-pay, which is not bad at all, one should agree.

For those out of the loop, we should note that the mobile phone has been announced with a 4-inch TFT LCD touchscreen display capable of delivering a WVGA (800 x 480 pixels) resolution, as Phandroid notes.

Moreover, it arrives on shelves with a 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 MSM8210 processor, as well as with 1GB of RAM, which should ensure appealing performance capabilities to all users.

ZTE Concord II has also been released with 4GB of internal memory, as well as with a microSD memory card slot that allows users to add up to 32GB of external storage to it.

On the back, the new handset features a 5-megapixel camera with auto focus and built-in LED flash, which is also capable of offering 720p video recording capabilities.

Moreover, the smartphone has been launched with the usual set of connectivity capabilities inside, such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, as well as with the entire range of common sensors.

Moreover, the mobile phone has been announced with an 1820mAh battery that should be able to provide users with up to 6 hours of talk time.

The new ZTE Concord II also comes to the market with dual-microphones with noise cancellation capabilities, while running under the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system.

While T-Mobile has added the device to its offering today, users on MetroPCS will also be able to enjoy its capabilities starting next week, on May 19.

As mentioned above, the new smartphone appears to be an appealing option for those looking for a cheap Android device, especially now that this market segment starts to get crowded, following the launch of Moto E yesterday. To grab the new ZTE Concord II, simply head over to T-Mobile’s website.
