Like Verizon, Sprint will probably offer a wallet-friendly tablet soon

The ever faithful FCC reveals yet another tablet that’s supposedly in the works. This time, we’re talking about an Android slate designed by ZTE, which will probably be made available to customers via Sprint.

The slate goes by model number V72C and the FCC filing brings a few images that offer a sneak peek into the tablet’s specs.

There's not much info at the moment, but apparently, the ZTE slate will be one of those popular budget 7-inch slates we see popping up more and more. It’s going to have a camera on the back (maybe on front too.)

The most attractive feature of the slate, so far, seems to be the cellular radio with 3G (1x/EvDO) capability. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are also onboard, but there’s no mention of 4G LTE anywhere.

Back in 2012, ZTE introduced, via Sprint, its low-cost Android tablet called the ZTE Optik. The new slate might turn out to be its successor and prove a decent enough competitor for Verizon’s Ellipsis 7 device.
