The GM204 is the first high-end Maxwell graphics processing unit from NVIDIA, and it will power two video boards. One of them will be customized by ZOTAC, as you're about to see.

The GeForce GTX 970 is the second best desktop Maxwell-based graphics card from NVIDIA. Or at least will be, once it comes out next week.

That means that the GM204 GPU won't have all features unlocked. Which is to say, the GTX 980 will have more than the 1,664 CUDA cores and 138 TMUs of the GTX 970.

Anyway, the GTX 970 will be sold by all NVIDIA OEMs. Zotac has just leaked a press shot of its version, which boasts a dual-fan cooler with 80 mm spinners and an aluminum fin stack.

Otherwise, the adapter sticks to the reference specifications, or so it can be assumed from the lack of overclocking indicators.

In case you didn't already know, the reference performance parameters of GeForce GTX 970 in general are a base GPU clock of 1,051 MHz, a GPU Boost maximum of 1,178 MHz, a memory interface of 256 bits, and 4 GB of GDDR5 working at 7,012 MHz.

The price will probably be of around $250 / €250.
